An integrated approach to domestic water management is being practised in two villages each in Kolar and Mysore districts of Karnataka. This initiative is implemented by the NGOs MYRADA and MYKAPS and supported by Arghyam. As a part of the effort, ecological sanitation (ecosan) structures were constructed. On 18 February, 2010, a couple of beneficiaries opened the pits in order to harvest the manure.
