The India Water Portal (www.indiawaterportal.org) was launched by the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh at his residence in New Delhi on 12 January 2007.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Rohini Nilekani said, “The Portal is envisaged as an inclusive, open platform and is aimed primarily at water sector practitioners, be it NGOs, government officials or citizens.”
